Barilla Gluten Free Penne with Mushroom and Sweet Peas.

Ingredients for 6 people

  • 1 Box Barilla® Gluten Free Penne
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup onion diced
  • ½ pound mixed mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup peas
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese grated


  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. In a large skillet SAUTE the onion in olive oil for about 5 minutes or until slightly browned
  3. ADD the mushrooms and sauté for an additional 5 minutes
  4. ADD the heavy cream and the peas, season with salt and pepper, bring to a simmer
  5. COOK the pasta according to package, drain and toss with the sauce
  6. REMOVE from the heat and add the Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, toss to combine
